WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION?
Based in Hartford, CT, the Executive Recruiter will report directly to the AVP of Executive Recruiting and is responsible for external recruitment as well as internal talent mobility across the enterprise. This individual will be responsible for client relationship management coupled with managing the entire recruiting lifecycle including the development and implementation of effective recruitment plans and strategies for external as well as internal searches.
- Conduct research and ongoing recruiting activities to identify and attract highly competitive candidates for key roles at The Hartford. This includes developing job descriptions, search strategies, and target lists as well as placing sourcing, networking and recruiting calls in order to develop short lists of candidates for executive positions.
- Research industry competitive intelligence and analyze external market trends.
- Partner with Client Managers and HR Generalists to analyze client business plans and staffing needs to anticipate future projections.
- Advise hiring managers on strategic sourcing and recruiting processes, as well as market intelligence data and feedback.
- Develop and maintain understanding of recruitment best practices, as well as understanding of client businesses and business plans.
- Use passive and direct sourcing techniques and seek new methods and innovative solutions to identify and attract prospective candidates and build pipeline.
- Develop long-term relationships with potential candidates and update The Hartford's internal applicant tracking system to document and track data.
- Focus on sourcing and attracting diversity candidates.
- Represent and differentiate The Hartford to external candidates by effectively describing the businesses within The Hartford and the industry trends.
- Responsible for driving internal talent movement when appropriate; understand the internal talent landscape in order to proactively identify potential internal candidates.
- Regularly attend appropriate business line and HR staff meetings as well as participate in special recruiting projects across the organization.
- Utilize and manage external resources when needed to supplement work.

Requirements
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? - A minimum of 10 years of candidate development and recruiting experience with an executive search firm, or in a corporate executive recruiting function or combination of the two.
- Bachelor's Degree required, Advanced Degree preferred.
- Proven track record of developing, assessing and attracting executive level talent to client organizations.
- Proven track record of working in a fast-paced, complex, deadline-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of metrics and reporting capabilities.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, applicant tracking databases.
- Drive to deliver results, take accountability and ownership of work, and strive for continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with thorough attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, influence management, and negotiation skills.
