Job Description

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Professional/Technical:

  • Excellent professional skills.
  • Applies advanced engineering principles and practices to solve design, development, and modification problems.
  • Responsible for participating in the completion of design and documentation package of the most complex, multi level projects.
  • Uses programming skills to enhance or change software.
  • Extensive design background and a fundamental understanding of various design techniques.
  • Expert in technical or professional field.
  • Develops projects and solutions.
  • Strategic problem solving skills.
  • Use of advanced AutoCAD CAD tools (i.e. Civil 3D, Map, Quicksurf, data box program/ARCADIS)
  • Quickly and efficiently create and edit drawings with minimal instructions
  • Proficient in preparing contract and reports drawings (utilizing AutoCAD)
  • Using prescribed methods, performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced Designer.
  • Applies standard practices and techniques in specific situations, adjusts and correlates data, recognizes discrepancies in results, and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes.
  • Improving professional skills.
  • Demonstrates progressively improved problem solving skills

    Communication:
  • Communicates effectively with other team members.
  • Communicates effectively with clients
  • Prepares complex written reports.

  • Job Requirements
    Position requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • Minimum years of experience: 5
  • Education required: BS or experienced equivalent
  • Special considerations, specific technical experience, skills, etc.: CADD skills, computer skills, civil engineering background
  • Travel amount is negligible.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
  • This position does manage others on occasion.
