WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION? The Vendor Contract Manager will be responsible for managing multiple small to medium contracts with well defined scope requiring manageable scope control, moderate complexity and limited risk. In addition, he/she will be accountable for the following:
- Proactively manage the performance of vendors through measurable service level agreements which ensure both continuous improvement in pricing, quality and logistics, and the resolution of issues which may impact operations and profitability
- Provide tactical leadership regarding contract deliverables
- Maintain good relationship with primary and secondary vendors ensuring timely and quality delivery of products and service
- Assess and manage contract variances, evaluate impacts to project outcomes, evaluate and present options and implement approved changes
- Develop business and financial models used for measuring service level agreements that are key success drives in contract
- Prepare business and financial reports analyzing performance and measurable results to evaluate current performance and future actions
- Solicit feed back from customers regarding experiences with key partners, look for trends that suggest possible need for vendor improvement
- Partner with other members of the Procurement team, communicating potential risks and future impact to contract negotiations, implementation and contract management.
