Corporate Center partners with the business divisions to ensure that the firm operates as an effective and integrated whole with a common vision and set of values.DescriptionA Business Analyst position exists within Market Risk IT Core Delivery Stream to work on our future state Market Risk Platform. This is a challenging hands-on role, suited to an experienced Financial Services / Risk Professional with strong functional analysis skills. Market Risk IT is in the early stages of developing a new Market Risk platform for UBS Investment Bank, at the heart of the solution is a repository containing the Bank’s portfolio and its risk profile. The new Risk Database will become the single point of record for Market Risk Measurement combining sources of position, instrument, counterparty and market data with risk measures calculated in the Front Office Risk Calculation Platforms. The new Risk Database will integrate both Near-Real-Time and Batch data sources.The candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a proven background in Business Analysis, System Design and experience with leading Business Analysis teams and/or managing small projects. Working closely with business representatives, the role will be to elicit business requirements, perform data analysis, find solutions to business problems, design business processes and IT specifications to support the business goals and to manage User Acceptance Testing and Training initiatives. This role requires strong team analysis, coordination and prioritization skills.Market Risk IT, a part of Control IT, is a global function tasked with the provision of market risk solutions to the Bank’s Market Risk Department and Front Office Risk Managers. Market Risk is a truly cross product function and represents an excellent opportunity for the chosen candidate to gain broad insight into the products and operations of an investment bank. The role will require close liaison with project managers, development leads, QA leads, and other analysis and development teams (both inside and outside of Market Risk), Market Risk Officers and other stakeholders. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships is therefore essential.Responsibilities:

They must be flexible in approach and be able to adapt to the changing circumstances of the projectDisplay high level of commitment and tenacityHandle multiple, concurrent activities in parallel and prioritise responsibilities whilst making quick decisions when necessaryWork collaboratively to communicate and share ideas to ensure team goals are achievedRaise dependencies, risks and issues to the project manager in a timely manner ensuring minimal impact on plansWork with own and other teams to identify and resolve dependencies and risksEnsure solution quality throughout project life cycleComment on and improve the process so that it adds more and more valueDemonstrate the drive to ensure that business requirements are metControl risks and costs within own areaCapture and documentation of business requirements to the UBS standards for review and sign off by the user community.Design pragmatic software solutions to address business problemsProvide business, design, and content input into system analysis and designManage sign-offs, validations and relationships with project business stakeholdersParticipate in the planning, execution and validation of system, regression and user acceptance testing of the systemManage User Acceptance Testing and TrainingIdentify issues, risks, dependencies and assumptions to ensure accurate planningDevelop Subject Matter Expertise on A-Risk and other Risk IT applications and surrounding business processes.Participate and provide input into the implementation approach to meet business needs, including data migrations.RequirementsMinimum 5 years Business Analysis experience in a financial services or major consulting organizationMinimum 5 years experience performing functional analysis, business process modelling and data analysis expertise along with a proven track record in delivering technology driven changeMinimum 5 years following a structured approach and experience with industry best practices for business and data analysis, process design, QA and documentation.Minimum 3 years experience analyzing and defining 'Risk Management Processes'.Minimum 3 years experience with RDBMS (Oracle and Sybase)Minimum 3 years of involvement in the full project lifecycle from initial requirements gathering through UAT support to post-implementation support.Preferred QualificationsStrong analytic and problem solving skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work globally across multiple culturesKnowledge of products traded by Investment BanksEnthusiastic and highly motivatedOccasional overseas travel may be required.Market Risk background preferredFixed Income/Mortgages experience a plusExperience with systems analysisOur OfferingWe can offer you an exciting, fast-paced working environment, a culture of mutual respect and teamwork and the opportunity to play a vital role in our growth.It starts with youIf you are attracted to joining an organization where every individual’s contribution counts and where your talent will impact on our future, please apply for this position.
