Hose Fabricator

Job Description

Our client, a manufacturer of hoses in the Woodridge area, is currently seeking a Hose Fabrication Technician. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of manufacturing/hose fabrication experience.

Responsibilities include:

Performing various fabrication procedures without supervision such as, cutting hoses to size and attaching components to manufacturer specification and NAHAD Hose Assembly Guidelines for industrial customers
  • Pressure test hose assemblies for leak detection, as directed.
  • Receives and verify incoming parts, material, and supplies; maintains stock areas; prepares sales orders per customer specifications
  • Detects and reports equipment, defective material, improper operations, and unusual conditions to supervisor. Works in manner that insures the safety of everyone involved. Exercise proper care in the use of tools and equipment.
  • Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Completes reports by entering required information.

    Academic Requirements:
    High School graduate or equivalent; and a minimum of one year manufacturing/hose fabrication experience. Must possess the ability to accurately use measuring tapes and do basic math. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Reading, writing and communicating effectively in English is essential to this position.

    Physical Requirements:
    Stand for long periods of time
    Bend down to work with hose lengths on the floor
    Able to lift 50-75 lbs

    Working hours: 1st shift
