The Henry Ford Health System School-Based and Community Health Program extends services into 9 schools and one community-based site. School based health care is making a difference that reaches beyond what either institution can do alone for children, families and communities. The Nurse Practitioner will provide services to youth at a school based health center, conducting general medical programs (health assessments, immunizations, diagnosis and treatment , physicals examinations, counseling and health education. *****This position will be located at Youthville Health Center in Detroit.HOURS- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 10:00am-6:30pmTuesday- 11:00am-7:30pmFridays 8:00am-4:30pmRequired- Family or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with Pediatric background.Familiarity with adolescent medicine and gynecology would be helpful. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: License as a Registered Nurse. Master's Degree in Nursing. Certification in one of the following: ANA certification exam in nursing specialty field or National Certification Corporation (NCC) or National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Associates.
