Basic Function: Manages the fabrication of custom draperies and related decorative items to established standards of workmanship. Fab site is located in Statesville, NC.



Principle Responsibilities:



1. Plans and manages the activities of the workroom, including: inspecting merchandise received, reviewing work orders, assigning production schedules to supervisors and leads, reworking or altering complete orders, as required, assigning maintenance schedules based on department needs and priorities, and ensures inquires are answered in a timely fashion with updated information.



2. Plans and manages daily staffing schedules and work assignments of individual product lines.



3. Administers human resources programs for the Fabrication Center, including: interviewing, hiring and technical training process to meet the scheduling needs of fabrication floor, leading training for department supervisors and leads, and conducting appraisals of supervisor staff.



4. Controls the release of completed orders to Custom Decorating staging locations.



5. Assures completion of each work order within the schedule and to the standards of workmanship specified.



6. Develops or reviews and submits to the Custom Decorating Fabrication Center Manager for review and/or approval, budget recommendations, requests for equipment, fabric and supplies, deviations from approved staffing, additions to or dismissals from workroom staff.
