Position

We are looking for a San Antonio-based Team Leader to manage the support team that is responsible for daily issue resolution and system support. Also, to provide technical assistance to the AllianceBernstein Investor services (ABIS) operational personnel by coordinating system enhancement projects and resolving complex system related record-keeping issues. To ensure that problem items are resolved in a manner both timely and compliant with departmental standards and industry regulations. Primary liaison between ABIS and DST Systems Inc. (DST), our vendor for external mutual fund system record-keeping.

This individual will serve as the team leader, developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal departments, including: Operations, Marketing, Legal, and other external partners, aligning the development and implementation of strategies, plans, and system models and keeping clients informed and engaged throughout the product lifecycle. Responsibilities include recruiting, training, motivating and performance evaluation of assigned employees.

Job Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline and ten plus years experience in the mutual-fund or financial-institution industry. Knowledge of mutual funds and mutual fund recordkeeping functionality and DST systems is preferred.

We are interested in candidates that possess strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills along with the ability to manage a team and project analysts. Candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with individuals at all reporting levels. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint is required. Job Description

Specific responsibilities may include but not be limited to:
  • Managing a team responsible for the daily resolution of production support items.
  • Taking ownership and playing a lead role in all operational aspects related to the product.
  • Researching and determining solutions to record-keeping production support items which may include: Issues with the DST System, System related inquiry items and other ancillary system errors.
  • Working to reduce the number of items which require action and completion by the DST Dedicated service team.
  • Reading and analyzing business requirements for system enhancements and understanding the impact on AllianceBernstein.
  • Developing workflows and use cases while designing and coordinating user-acceptance testing with end users.
  • Assisting in the system setup of new funds, mergers and liquidations.
  • Leading product team and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners.
