Description
Our client is looking for a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to direct, delegate, support and oversee all aspects of Sales Growth Strategy to grow sales, profit and headcount. This person can live in Montgomery or Birmingham, Alabama, as this region includes Alabama and Mississippi.
Essential job functions and accountabilities:
- Provide direct training and development of Sales Reps to develop quality associates that are capable of contributing to the success of the Region
- Develop and manage all sales, financial, hiring, and training goals for region to ensure goals are met.
- Develop and conduct all Sales Meetings and Training sessions to further develop team and build a stronger sales team.
- Manage day to day sales activities, approve all sales agreements, ensure account profitability, and manage customer complaints and rep issues.
- Ensure all environmental, ethical, and company policies are met and provide intervention in the event of a compliance issue.
- Create and implement strategies to meet or exceed sales and profitability objective for the region.
- Manage division to budgeted resources
- Actively participate in the training, recruiting and hiring process for new Outside Sales Representatives.
- Will be responsible to help reps manage their pricing to customers to ensure a strong commission percentage for the rep as well as a strong GP% position for the branches.

Requirements
Qualified candidates will posses the following:
- 5-7 years of B2B / Business to Business sales leadership experience with a track record of achieving sales objectives by leading & motivating diverse teams of people
- Strong Government background a plus
- Chemical or Industrial experience preferred
- Accustomed to frequent travel within the assigned territory
- A Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) or equivalent is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, written & verbal
- Strong presentation skills in leading discussions of the branch's financial performances
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
