Description
The Corporate Controller is responsible for ensuring quality in financial reporting and forecasting. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Corporate Controller manages all financial and accounting functions of the Company, including internal and external financial reporting, SEC compliance, accounting policies and procedures, financial analysis, general accounting, consolidation of foreign subsidiaries, treasury, tax, stock administration, accounts payable, payroll, credit and collections, accounts receivable, and cost accounting.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements.
Presentation of monthly financial statements to CFO with analysis.
Preparation of board reporting, financial press releases and SEC filings.
Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Managing periodic forecasting and review with CFO.
Managing preparation of annual budget.
Managing quarterly reviews and annual audits with statutory auditors.
Managing periodic statutory reporting such as corporate tax returns.
Managing corporate tax compliance and planning.
Financial analysis, modeling, due diligence and evaluation of accounting implications of merger and acquisition activities.
Leading activity to improve current financial reporting processes and content.
Responding to ad-hoc reporting requests.
Management of the Finance department of approximately 20 (including 3 managers).
Responsible for selecting, developing and evaluating personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the department.
Active participation in Information Technology Steering Committee.
Requirements
Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum 10-15 years with steady progression through audit and Controller ranks.
Experience with semiconductor industry required
CPA required.
Oracle experience required
Expert knowledge of accounting and auditing fundamentals, GAAP and SEC reporting.
Specific experience with Cost Accounting, SOX section 404, FAS 123R and revenue recognition a plus.
Thorough understanding of income taxes a strong preference.
Experience with day to day operations in a fast paced environment.
Experience with major ERP systems and management reporting tools.
Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment with all levels of employees.
