Description

SENIOR REVENUE ANALYST

The Senior Revenue Analyst is responsible for ensuring that revenue is properly recognized in accordance with the company's revenue recognition policy and US GAAP. This individual will be reporting into the Revenue Recognition Manager and has a critical role in providing and analyzing revenue accounting information for the company in a timely and accurate manner.

Major Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations relating to revenue recognition at month-end
- Responsible for maintaining all deferred revenue & rebate accounts
- Review contracts, purchase orders and booking packages for potential revenue recognition issues and ensuring that revenue is recorded accurately and timely.
- Prepare quarter-end revenue schedules and Sarbanes Oxley documentation relating to revenue recognition for external auditors
- Understanding of VSOE analysis
- Assist in monitoring internal control procedures to mitigate revenue exposure
- Ad-hoc analysis on an as needed basis

Requirements Knowledge & Skills:
- BA/BS in Accounting and a CPA is a plus
- 4 to 8+ years of work experience
- Understanding of SOP 97-2
- Strong Excel skills including the use of Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, and other formulas.
- Quick learner and ability to drive successful results with limited supervision
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills a must
- Must be proactive and able to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Experience in reviewing complex contractual terms and conditions to determine appropriate revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP
- Ability to work collaboratively with teams from Finance/Accounting and Sales Operations
- Effective interpersonal skills (oral and written) and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel
- Superior customer service focus
