Aircraft Structures Technician: (Mechanical Installers)
Job Responsibilities: Performs a wide variety of mechanical/structural removal, installation, repair and modification on aircraft. Interprets and follows engineering drawings and checks work correctness. Checks, tests and troubleshoots systems for conformance to specifications. Resolves installation problems. Performs aircraft modifications per IAW military T.O.'s, commercial maintenance manuals, and service bulletins. Performs other related tasks as required. This is a Service Contract Act (SCA) covered position.
Basic Qualifications:
- Aircraft related Assoc degree or A&P license + a minimum of 2 years experience as a sheet metal mechanic in the aircraft industry.
- With H/S or GED must have a minimum of 4 years experience as a sheet metal mechanic in the aircraft industry.
- Must have experience with basic hand tools and have knowledge of mechanical skills.
- Requires the ability to read, interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, T.O. specs and engineering specifications.
- Ability to assemble close tolerance parts and use hand tools such as pneumatic drills and rivet gun. Must have approved safety shoes.
- Must have own tools. If hired, tools must be shadowed. L-3/IS will provide the material to complete this task. May be required to be certified to operate self-propelled vehicles such as forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts and aircraft tow vehicles.
- Must be eligible to work any shift and overtime as required.
- Must be able to obtain security clearance.
Avionics/Electrical Technician: (Electrical Installers)
Job Responsibilities: Performs a wide variety of moderately complex electrical and avionics removal, layout, fabrication, installation, repair and modification on aircraft and electrical support systems. Interprets and follows engineering drawings, and checks work correctness. Checks, tests and troubleshoots systems for conformance to specifications. Sets highest ethical standards for self and others. Other related tasks as assigned. This may be a Service Contract Act (SCA) covered position.
