Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Location: Positions available throughout California
Job Duties: LCSW will serve as a Clinical Case Manager (CCM)in an Interdisciplinary Treatment Team to inmates with a diagnosable Axis I mental disorder or a medial necessity. The CCM is responsible for a broad range of task that include direct treatment, coordination of services with other clinicians and correctional staff, patient monitoring and resource and program development. The LCSW develop and maintains a therapeutic relationship with inmates on his/her caseload, ensuring awareness of inmates‘ strengths as well as weaknesses. He/She is required to maintain public and institutional safety.
· As the CCM, serve as a lead in performing clinical intake assessments, developing treatment plans, monitoring progress, and performing case reviews of inmates in caseload. These entail file reviews of inmates in the caseload. These entail file reviews, data gathering, completing reports and other required documentation, participating in classification and other conferences, preparing and presenting case summaries and consulting with other professionals at the Institution.
· Coordinate with custody staff to establish linkage to all institutional services called for in comprehensive treatment plans: consults with the custody staff regarding participation and progress of caseload in these services. These services include education, training and work assignments, special groups such as Alcohol Anonymous and recreation.
· Provide direct treatment to inmates in the caseload including individual and group psychotherapy.
· In coordination with custody staff, develop aftercare or clinical pre-release plans for inmates in the caseload including making family contacts, testifying in court or before the Board of Prison Terms, and ensuring follow up with Parole Outpatient Clinics
· Provide crisis intervention including suicide assessments and brief intensive counseling and screens requires for services of inmates not in the delivery system.
· Participate in program evaluations and quality assessments and improvements.
· Perform other duties as required
Requirements
All applicants will be required to complete background and drug screen. Must be able to provide the following items:
· Current Curriculum Vitae that includes the to and from dates for all education and employment history.
· Must have completed a master’s degree program from an accredited school of social work , approved by the Council on Social Work Education and must have a valid license as a licensed Clinical Social Worker issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science Examiner. Must have a minimum of three peer recommendations prior to the review.
