Description

High profile individual seeks an experienced, professional Traveling Butler / Houseman who will take full charge of their New York and Los Angeles residences. The successful candidate will:
• Have complete oversight for household budgets, service levels, systems, procedures, protocols, and maintenance; prepare and manage annual budget for the home
• Manage and supervise domestic staff
• Assume final responsibility for the home, maintain orderly operation and meticulous appearance of staff and systems
• Act hands-on as necessary to maintain said operation of the home; knowledge of HVAC, Smart Home security systems, etc
• Maintain pool, tennis court, and general appearance both inside and outside the home
• Coordinate home projects that involve
• Supervise all event production
• Coordinate with Chef to assist with and oversee daily meal service



 

Requirements

• At least 5 years relevant work experience
• Must be able to travel with client between New York City and Los Angeles residences
• Understands that the utmost in confidentiality and discretion is required
• Proactive and anticipatory: a flexible self-starter who is willing to pitch in
•  A superb command of the English language, both written and oral, is required
• Computer literate: thorough working knowledge of MS-Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet.
• Household budget experience
• Superior process-, project-, and time-management skills
• Flexibility to work outside of strict job description parameters, thinking creatively about how to provide highest quality of service
• Demonstrates poise and grace under pressure
• Low key, meticulous, personable and self-directed
• Strong interpersonal skills: able to build rapport and credibility quickly with other domestic staff, security, the corporate office, and vendors
• Poised and professional at all times
• Able to work additional hours if needed
• Able to work legally in the United States
• Must have valid driver’s license and passport
• Have outstanding verifiable references
• Long-term intent

Salary is generous, but DOE. This position includes full benefits and eligibility for discretionary bonus.
