Business Objects™ Developer

Positions are contingent on contractual funding from our government customer.

Tri Star Engineering is seeking personnel to support the Sea Warrior Program (PMW 240) in the creation of an Authoritative Data Environment (ADE) and Departmental Authoritative Data Store (DADS).  These individuals  will support the design, development, testing, systems engineering and technical review activities.  This position is in Millington, TN supporting the Navy Recruiting Command (NRC).

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:  Minimum of five years work experience in information technology, software development or database management.  Experience with SAP Business Objects Data Services and Business Objects Data Integrator (BO DI).  Familiarity with Authoritative Data Environment (ADE) and Departmental Authoritative Data Store (DADS) preferred. Workload will require interface with Government project managers, engineers, logisticians and technicians. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Must be able to perform duties in accordance with the customer Performance Work Statement (PWS). Other duties may be assigned.

·       Design and develop Business Objects Data Integrator jobs to extract & integrate data from various source systems.

·       Design and develop data quality reusable components using Business Objects Data Services component

·       Develop Interfaces using XML and Business Objects Data Integrator (BO DI).  Write SQL, PL/SQL extract procedures, as necessary.

·       Integrate data from various sources utilizing Data Integrator Real and batch components.

·       Design & develop interdependency of BO DI ETL jobs.

·       Performance Tuning of BO DI ETL jobs.

·       SAP BI and Business Objects Data Integrator integration

·       Assist with BO Portal Integration and development

·       Act as the Systems/Software Engineer for system architecture planning, technical design, software development and test, and software, hardware and interface integration.

·       Perform an end to end review of the documents created as part of the roadmap support these documents include but are not limited to: System Requirement Reviews (SRR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), and Critical Development Reviews (CDR).

·       Monitor and assist PMW 240 applications with the development or revision of Interface Control Documents (ICDs) or similar products that document system interfaces.

·       Assist with development and maintenance of periodic PMW 240 Data Management and Integration Plans.

·       Participate in coordinating data accuracy measurements and develop future data accuracy Key Performance Parameters (KPPs).

·       Participate in designing, testing, and documenting data exchanges for multiple systems.

EXPERIENCE: 

·       BA or BS degree in Information Technology or related field highly preferred

·       5+ years of experience in Information Technology

·       Experience in systems development lifecycle and systems engineering role throughout the development lifecycle

·       Proven technical writing experience preparing documents, reports, responses, and briefings

·       Experience with SAP Business Objects Data Services (BO DS) and Business Objects Data Integrator (BO DI)

·       Experience with software development

EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology or similar field is required.     

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

·         MUST be a US Citizen

·         Successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a government-issued security clearance of secret level or higher.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1.     Experience in Recruiting & Accessions, Department of Defense (DoD) or US Navy experience preferred

1. Experience with DoD 5000 and DoD acquisitions
2. Experience participating with teams operating in a virtual, multiple site environment
3. Familiarity with Authoritative Data Environment (ADE) and Departmental Authoritative Data Store (DADS)
4. Experience with data migration and data integration

OTHER PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Ability to understand processes and improve or refine them; ability to document and understand lessons learned; ability to develop Power Point presentations; ability to interact with databases.  Ability to communicate both orally and written correspondence. Demonstration of compliance with Federal and State statutory regulations and laws regarding workplace safety, sexual harassment, and EEO mandates.

SALARY RANGE:  Commensurate with experience.
