Home Health RN - Weekend Option

Program: Home Health

Status: Full-time (every week-end) or half-time (every other week-end) 

Positions available covering San Mateo or Santa Clara counties

Description:

Job Duties of a Weekend Option Home Health RN ( Registered Nurse ):

• Provides skilled nursing care to patients in the home or Skilled Nursing Facility setting, making 4-5 patient visits/day.
• Participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team of nurses, social workers, home health aides, spiritual care counselors and volunteers.
• As Weekend Option RN, works 4 consecutive days including Saturday and Sunday and is paid for 5 days of work.
• Full-time option works every weekend and receives full benefits; half-time works every other weekend and receives 1/2 time benefits.

Job Requirements of a Weekend Option Home Health RN ( Registered Nurse )

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
• One year experience in an acute care setting required.
• Must have prior Medi-care certified Home Health experience.
• Strong clinical assessment, pain management and teaching skills.
• Interest in/commitment to the hospice philosophy of care for terminally ill patients.
• Well-organized, independent self-starter.
• California drivers license, automobile and automobile insurance.
•  Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
• Basic computer skills a plus.
