About Us:
The second largest interior/exterior contractor in the country located in Anaheim, CA is continuing to expand into new markets and is now seeking to add a Controller to its accounting team with experience in the construction industry. Join a dynamic growing group that has projects both nationally and internationally. The Controller will take over management of 6 accounting personnel and assume full responsibility for divisional financial reporting and accounting systems in a job cost construction environment.

About the Position:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Controller to join our team of professionals.

Responsibilities:

· Monthly internal and external financial reporting and analysis
· Management of accounts payable, receivable, payroll and annual and quarterly taxes
· Train, supervise and review Accounting 6 Accounting personnel
· Support and assist Division Controller
· Oversee monthly cash management of projections vs. actuals for both receipts and expenditures
· Work with independent public accountants ensuring timely completion of audit
· Manage accounting system and provide management reports and system optimization
· Integration and conversion of accounting data as a result of merger and acquisitions

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance Business Administration
· CPA license a plus
· Minimum ten years of accounting experience, with at least five years of experience in construction in a general or sub-contractor environment
· Advanced skills with financial and accounting software applications
· Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, budgets and projections
· Knowledge of certified payroll processes and payroll tax compliance in a job costing environment
· General knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
· Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build consensus in a team environment
· Demonstrated history of successfully managing an accounting group of at least 3 people
· Excellent time management, decision making and organizational skills
· Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English
· Significant analytical and problem solving skills
· Highest standards of integrity and work ethic
