Description
Tennessee and Kentucky based-firms seeking entry-level assistants. Internship experience or career changers a plus. Insurance pricing, Defined Contribution, Management reporting, and other projects/experience. Preferred degrees in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Accounting, and Engineering.
Requirements
The position demands effective communication skills for presenting, finding, and recommendations within the corporation and to other members of the industry.
The Actuarial career is challenging and provides an opportunity for rapid advancement into senior management. You will be compensated in each step of your career. Advancement is closely related to the completion of the ten written examinations administered by the Casualty Actuarial Society and the Society of Actuaries. Study time for the examination is provided on the job. These examinations take 5 to 7 years to complete for most candidates and require a major commitment of personal time.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate(s) will be energetic and competitive individuals with an ability to understand and perform complex business analysis. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively is essential.
We prefer a Bachelors or Masters degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Finance. We require a minimum of a 2.7 GPA. Successful completion of one ore more exams is desired.
