Description
Our client is searching for an organzied and detailed oriented Controller to direct their accounting, financial reporting, and business operations. The ideal candidate will have a CPA, a minimum of 3-4 years management level experience in a manufacturing environment , public accounting experience, and direct oversight of monthly closings, budgeting, forecasting, cost, and financial analysis, and experience working with outside auditors. This position will also supervise A/P, A/R, payroll, and purchasing functions.
Qualifications and Duties:
Strong understanding related to a manufacturing environment.
Ability to work in pressure/deadline situations.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting and forecasting.
Serve as a key member of the management team.
Provide effective financial analysis to support decision making.
Understand, implement, and maintain standard costing practices.
Manage and direct accounting/finance staff.
Develop, approve and maintain accounting controls.
Highly effective in working with the management team to drive growth and profitability.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
Public Accouting experience preferred
CPA required
Candidates must have strong ERP and accounting systems experience including advanced Excel. Professional written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
