Description J. F. Ahern Co., one of the largest mechanical and fire protection contractors in the nation, has an excellent opportunity for a full time Senior Financial Analyst to join the team at our corporate office in Fond du Lac, WI.

Responsibilities include Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing financial data, creating Ad-hoc reports for special projects, investigating and responding to financial analysis-related accounting inquiries from operating divisions, responsible for preparation of annual budget.

Coordinating with external auditors in annual and special audit functions, processing monthly journal entries related to the production of monthly financial statements, preparing the Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Income Statement, and internal financial and performance measurement reports, establishing internal controls and procedures related to cash, assisting in the preparation of financial reports and statements including the business activity report, assists outside accountants in preparation and assembly of data required for annual audits and tax returns, establishing and evaluating accounting methods to ensure accurate and value added internal and external financial reporting, assuming responsibility for the correct and accurate accounting classification for all debt, equity, accrued liability, and prepaid asset transactions, reviewing the results of the internal audits completed by outside accountants.

Working with the Controller to develop a cash projection analysis, responsible for treasury management functions including monitoring bank balances, approving transactions, and developing and implementing effective cash controls.

Requirements Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, and two to four years of experience in GAAP financial reporting, auditing, and general ledger account analysis. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
