Description

We are currently seeking a Laboratory Associate (MT) for our Laboratory.
Location: Highland Park, IL
Hours: full-time (40 hours/week), time will vary between 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays and 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on weekends.
In this role, you will:
-Monitor test analyses to ensure that acceptable levels of analytical performance are maintained.
-Rotate through a minimum of 3 lab testing areas, performing laboratory analysis and procedures efficiently, accurately and within allocated time constraints
- Enter results in the LIS either through the use of the Interface or through the order screen
- During phlebotomy shortages, perform phlebotomy procedures safely and effectively for all in hospital patient groups, children and adolescents on up through geriatric patients.
- Resolve technical problems and ensure that remedial actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from the laboratory¿s established performance specifications.
Requirements
Our ideal candidate will have:
-Associate's or Bachelor¿s degree in a chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science or medical technology program from and accredited institution
- Successful completion of an internship in Medical Technology or MLT program
- MLT/MT (ASCP) or equivalent
