On August 4, 1955, 20 Celanese employees met with a representative from the North Carolina Credit Union League. That meeting produced an organization named after two neighboring roads, Sharon Road and Fairview Road, thus Sharonview Federal Credit Union. Sharonview began operations with about $11,000 in assets. In 1957, business had increased to the point that our first paid employee was hired.

Today, Sharonview is a full-service, not-for-profit financial institution proudly serving more than 59,000 members all over the world, and assets of $900 million. Summary:

Under limited supervision from the AVP of Branch Operations, this position will be responsible for operating and managing all activities conducive of a credit union branch.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to: management of deposits, mortgage and consumer lending, and member services functions; develop plans and schedules to provide outstanding member service delivery; ensure the branch is a sound and secure financial institution

 

Essential Responsibilities:

 

  1. Coach, lead and develop the branch staff.
  2. Develop plans and schedules to provide outstanding member service.
  3. Ensure the branch is a sound and secure financial institution.
  4. Maintain a thorough understanding of all software applications relevant to the position.
  5. Integrate staff with production processes for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.

6.     Maintain knowledge of all branch operations, including security, service, and cross-sales functions.

Qualifications and Requirements:

 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or 3 to 5 years relevant management/supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with a variety of computer software applications, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in difficult and stressful situations.
  • Ability to work well with people and to create a self-motivating work environment.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • Must have excellent member service attitude.
  • Must genuinely care about others.
