Description
Octapharma Plasma Inc., is an international company specializing in collection of specialty and normal source plasma. Currently we have an immediate opening for a Assistant Manager in our Metairie, Louisiana Plasma Donor Center
 
The Assistant Manager assists the Donor Center Director and assumes managerial responsibility of donor center operations in the Director's absence. This position manages others.
 
Essential Job functions:
 

Oversees Operational Compliance within the Donor Center:

 

  • Ensures the total operation is in compliance with facility Donor Center Operating Manual (DCOP), State and Federal (FDA) Rules and Regulations, OSHA requirements, and CLIA requirements.
  • Identifies all potential, serious, or chronic problems affecting quality or compliance.
  • Ensures the total operation is in compliance with facility Donor Center Operating Manual (DCOP), State and Federal (FDA) Rules and Regulations, OSHA requirements, and CLIA requirements.
  • Assists in audits, inspections, and training at other Octapharma Plasma facilities as needed

 

Manages Daily Center Operations:

 

  • Performs opening and closing duties.
  • Receives, distributes, and follows-through SPE/RPR test results.
  • Maintains daily and monthly production statistics.
  • Ensures daily completion of donor center logs and records.
  • Completes shipments and reviews all test results and shipping records.
  • Oversees the performance of all equipment maintenance and ensure all equipment is well maintained, good working order and is calibrated as required

     

    Fiscal/Administrative Duties:

     

  • Hires, trains, and coordinates donor center staff members to ensure a competent, compliant, and quality team that yields maximum donor production.
  • Ensures appropriate medical staff coverage.
  • Receives, distributes, and follows-through SPE/RPR test center.
  • Monitors special programs (i.e., internal and external recruiting, donors communication, donor center paperwork, donation follow-up).
  • Maintains center operations with fiscal responsibility in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Quality Assurance Programs (QAP), and general housekeeping.
  • Oversees reactive units test results and completes unit disposition and paperwork follow through. 



     

      

       
  • Requirements

     Job Requirements

     

  • 2 year Associates Degree and one (1) year supervisory experience plus previous experience in customer service, conflict resolution, and employee supervision. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Must possess any licenses or certificates required by the state (e.g., including but not limited to CPR).
  • Ability to read numbers on screening equipment (i.e., scales, thermometers, graphs, digital vital signs monitor, refractometer). Ability to write and record words and numbers legibly and accurately.
  • Ability to operate computer software including keyboard, typewriter, and calculator.
