Description

Acushnet Company, home to the leading brands in golf (Titleist, FootJoy and Cobra Golf) has an exciting opportunity for an Associate product Development Engineer. In this position you will apply sound engineering principles to support golf ball research and development and the introduction of new and improved products and assist with projects related to the design and development new and improved golf balls; execute experiments designed to evaluate the golf ball flight performance; participate in product test and evaluation and pursue patent opportunities to protect company intellectual property.

Requirements The qualified candidate will possess; a BS in physics or applied mathematics, 3-5 yrs. practical work experience; fluent with scientific computing software and scripting, MATLAB preferred;  ability to coordinate and conduct field and laboratory experiments applying  experimental design principles; working knowledge of optimization and statistical analysis; fundamentals in Dynamics, Mechanics, Numerical Methods; working knowledge of business software applications; programming skills, C,C++,C*, Python, TCL, Perl ;    Knowledge of structural analysis (finite element method) applications and usage;  f amiliar with CAD software, SolidWorks both 3D modeling and 2D drawing; experience in fluid mechanics, compression/ Injection mold design, polymeric systems and golf knowledge is prefered.
