Job Summary:
This is a working supervisory role that is responsible to provide technical assistance and assure that quality products are produced in the plant. 

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate Quality Control/Quality Assurance testing of all products produced in the plant
• Maintain quality management system & documents
• Coordinate calibrations and inspections of equipment
• Responsible for inventory of lab supplies
• Implementation of SPC
• Enforce, encourage and implement safety, environmental and quality policies & procedures
• Provide technical assistance with product issues
• Provide Certificates of Analysis as needed
• Review & approve all incoming raw material COAs
• Maintain 3rd party certifications & audits

Qualifications/Requirements for Quality Manager:

• BS/BA Degree in Chemistry, Biology or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Experience w/statistics, SPC and quality measurements
• Industry experience as a lab technician in industrial coating, paints, asphalt or similar preferred.
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
• Working knowledge of basic laboratory equipment related to the measurement of viscosity.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs, working in a manufacturing environment
• Able to work independently with flexible hours & travel
