Guest Service Manager at the Holiday Inn Schenectady, NY.

 

This career-based position is directly responsible for the success of the operations of the property. The ideal candidate for this position must be able to contribute to leading the Hotel’s team with enthusiasm, customer focus, and a goal driven philosophy. Sustaining a work environment in which all Associates are successful is an essential component for this position.

Schahet Hotels, Inc. is based in Indianapolis, IN and has more than 40 years experience in the hotel industry. Our managers are hands on and concentrate on Associate training, team building and guest satisfaction. We currently operate 8 hotels and pride ourselves on our low management turnover. Our success is driven by our leaders and managers.

Requirements

The responsibilities of this position include the management of Hotel operations and creating an excellent guest experience while supporting and motivating staff. Evening and weekend shifts are required and other responsibilities include assisting in purchasing, accounts receivable and payroll submission for the property.

Previous hotel management experience is required in the following specific areas:

  • At least 1 year of previous front office operations and staff management
  • Previous Holiday Inn or Holiday Inn Express preferred
  • Flexible schedule required
  • Service training and leadership experience
  • Ability to create a positive work environment

Managerial Requirements required for this position include:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate team-building experience
  • Training Associates
  • Display and instill a "can do" attitude in all Associates
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Be able to follow and enforce policies and procedures
