Description Electrical Engineer 

Poly-West, a leading manufacturer of plastic products is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer.  The position involves daily hands on interaction with maintenance, production, and engineering.  

Duties will include:

 

  • Proposing and designing upgrades to existing machinery
  • Working with a team during repair, installation, and modification of new and existing equipment.
  • Document maintenance procedures and instructions.
  • Assist in troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
  • Analyzing maintenance problems and equipment / part failures.
  • Interface with equipment manufacturers' representatives.

 

 

Requirements The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • A desire to learn PLC programming, AC/DC drives, analog and digital circuitry, multi axis servo systems, industrial protocol networking, and Human Machine Interfaces.
  • Excellent communication and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to instruct maintenance personnel in theory and practical applications.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced 24 hour a day 7 day a week industrial environment with continually changing priorities.
