Newly created position....Cost Accountant needed for Muncie Food Manufacturer

Staffmark currently has an opening for a talented individual to fill the role of newly created position of Cost Accountant for a local manufacturer in Muncie, IN.  

As a Cost Accountant  you will be responsible for entering daily production accounting, tracking inventory in several warehouses, making daily accounting entries to keep the perpetual inventory record current. 

In addition, you will also be responsible for understanding the production process and critical cost centers, monitoring production costs, reporting and analyzing production variances/yields, tracking product movement, and ensuring that shipments are correct.  Other clerical and accounting duties as assigned.  

The ideal candidate will have general office experience, data entry skills, and excellent verbal communication skills.

This position requires sound knowledge of accounting principles and costing methods.  In addition, proficiency with Excel, Microsoft Word, and Accounting software is a must.  Great Plains experience is preferred, but not required.

Interested candidates must be willing to submit to a drug screen and criminal background check.  BS/BA in Accounting or equivalent combination of work experience and training.
