Description

Requirements

1.  Conducts self in a manner which is consistent with guaranteeing satisfaction to customers.

 

2.  Dresses accordingly, based upon company dress/grooming standards.

 

3.  Determines each customer’s vehicle needs by asking questions and listening.

 

4.  Demonstrates new vehicles (includes test drives).

 

5.  Delivers new vehicles to customers.  This process ensures that the customer understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty and paperwork, and it lays the foundation for customer loyalty.

 

6.  Attends sales meetings.

 

7.  Maintains an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction while maintaining a score above regional average.

 

8.  Maintains an ongoing system of developing referrals and new prospects outside of the dealership.

 

9.  Keeps abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers.

 

10. Establishes personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity, and devises a strategy to meet those goals.

 

11. Reports to the New or Used Vehicle Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews and analyses.

 

12. Reviews and analyzes actions at the end of each day week, month and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more effectively.

 

13. Understands the terminology of the automobile business and keeps abreast of technological changes in the product.

 

14. Knows and understands equity and values, and has the ability to explain depreciation to the customer.

 

15. Knows and understands the federal, state and local laws, which govern retail auto sales.

 

16. Enter complete customer information into computer (name, phone, address).

 

17. Introduces customers to Service Department personnel to emphasize the quality and efficiency of the dealership’s service operations.

 

18. Assists in fueling and organizing parking of the display lot.

 

19. Responsible for assisting pick up/exchange of Dealer Trades pertaining to their sale.

 

MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

 

1.  Performs other duties as needed.

 

2.  Assists with keeping lot decorated for sales incentives (balloons, blowers, signs, etc.)
