Environmental Services Supervisor/ Housekeeping Supervisor

We currently have an opening for an experienced Hands on Housekeeping Supervisor at our Cheyene Health Care Center in Cheyenne, WY. Ideal candidate will have prior experience in a housekeeping supervisory/management position in an institutional setting.
SUMMARY
May manage the facility’s housekeeping, laundry, janitorial services, and / or physical plant to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Recruits, hires, provides orientation/training, and retains a sufficient number of qualified staff to carry out the responsibilities of the facility’s housekeeping and laundry departments. Ensures employee performance meets or exceeds expectations and periodic performance appraisals are conducted on a timely basis.
· Maintains a cleaning protocol and schedule that addresses all areas of the facility and maintains resident satisfaction.
· Makes prompt efforts to resolve all resident concerns or grievances related to housekeeping or laundry services.
· Develops schedules for special or large maintenance projects, such as wall painting and window cleaning.
· Gives daily assignments to housekeeping and laundry staffs.
· Maintains linen inventory at adequate levels.
· May be responsible and accountable for maintaining physical plant and essential mechanical, electrical, and resident care equipment in safe operating condition.
· Develops and administers facility procedures to ensure that personal laundry is returned to the correct owner without damage from the laundry process.
· Disposes of trash and waste, including biohazards waste and other materials that require special handling, in compliance with appropriate regulations.
· Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
· Responsible for ensuring company policies and procedures regarding preventative maintenance are followed.

Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Prior housekeeping supervision experience in an institutional setting required.
Strong preference to candidates having worked in a nursing home setting.
Must be willing to perform housekeeping department related tasks as needed.
This is a hands on position.
