Manufacturing Engineer

JOB SUMMARY

• Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, parts, fabrication processes, tooling, fixtures, and production equipment capabilities to support facility safety, product quality and the accuracy of production standards.
• Position will be responsible for product design, layout of equipment and workspace to maximize productivity.
• Position will assess effectiveness of tooling and seek most cost efficient manufacturing methods.  Position must be knowledgeable in use of AutoCAD and will be responsible for new and revised product drawings and maintaining the accuracy of product routers, bill of materials and standard costing.
• Position will serve as primary coordinator for all new products including assignment of part numbers and setup in JDE operating system.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• The successful candidate will have a B.S. degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering along with 3 to 5 years experience in industrial manufacturing engineering in metal forming/fabrication,
• Experienced in tooling and process improvements, proficient with AutoCAD and capable of supporting product design, product drawing revisions and administration of bill of materials, routers and standard costing.
• JDE systems experience a plus.
