Description
TP Mechanical Contractors, one of the leading mechanical contractors in the Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio region specializing in commercial, industrial, and multi-unit residential plumbing, piping, HVAC and fire protection is seeking a CAD Operator/Designer for our Columbus, Ohio office.
Responsibilities of this position include:
- Use AutoCAD to create sheet metal, HVAC Piping, and/or plumbing installation drawings from Engineer generated contract documents including structural and architectural backgrounds.
- Identify areas of unclear intent or discrepancies and communicate to necessary persons or parties for a resolution.
- Attend mechanical systems coordination meetings and resolve conflicts with other contractors using a light table overlay technique.
- Create prefabrication shop sheets from coordinated drawings for piping and plumbing.
- Detail and piece length ductwork for fabrication for sheet metal.
Requirements
This is a specialized field of drafting using AutoCAD geared toward the installation and prefabrication of mechanical systems in the construction environment.
This is a full time position and relocation will not be offered.
