Cardio Echo/Vascular Tech-PRN Centennial Heart at Stonecrest

Description GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES – Performs echocardiology procedures. Operates sonar equipment, maintains, compiles, calculates and prepares findings for physician interpretation and archiving. Processes all completed echo hard-copies and makes documents available for physician interpretation. Secondary duties may include ordering supplies, stocking the department, and conducting quality control on equipment. DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: 1. Prepares patients for exams, monitors progress, and records results. 2. Maintains patient comfort and adheres to proper safety procedures. 3. Performs timely procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician. 4. Provides patient care based upon evaluation of the patient. 5. Performs necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed. 6. Contributes to the teamwork, philosophy of the Department/Office. 7. Adheres to and practices appropriate Infection Control Policies and Procedures. 8. Assumes responsibility for maintaining and improving echocardiology knowledge and skills with the support and assistance of outside educational resources. 9. Responsible for maintaining current licensure/certification. 10. Performs QA on all Sonar equipment.

Requirements Successful candidates will have: •            RDCS or RCS Certification Required •            Minimum of 2 year of previous Cardiac Echo and/or Vascular experience required. •            Current BLS Required Candidate will work Mondays and Fridays
