Description
The Department of Kinesiology and Nutrition at the University of Illinois at Chicago invites applications for the position of Academic Advisor in their undergraduate program. Minimum of a BA/BS Degree (Master’s preferred) and must have a record of excellence in working with undergraduate students for at least three years is required. Responsibilities include: working with the department’s advising team to provide advising for approximately 600 undergraduate students, staying current on the career opportunities and trends in the health professions and fitness field thereby assisting in career counseling, speaking at recruitment events, meeting with potential students and parents/guardians, conducting orientation sessions for new students, participating in the admissions process, coordinating programmatic and student learning outcomes assessment, acting as a liaison between the Office of Admissions and Records and the Department and conducting other duties as assigned related to the operation of the Undergraduate Program.
