Description
Founded in 1952, St. John Hospital and Medical Center is a regional-referral teaching hospital (affiliated with Wayne State University) with 804 licensed beds, a 1200-member medical staff and more than 50 medical and surgical specialties. It is also the largest acute care provider and the only designated Emergency Trauma Center on Detroit’s east side. St. John Hospital and Medical Center is also an active participant in community health initiatives through its community-based partnerships with churches, schools and civic organizations.
We are seeking a Vascular Technologist to correlate patient history and medical record data with examination's findings to provide adequate assessment data for preliminary test evaluations. This position also utilizes ultrasound instrumentation, such as Doppler ultrasound to non-invasively record vascular information, such as blood pressure, limb volume changes, oxygen saturation, cerebral circulation, peripheral circulation and abdominal circulation.

Shift: As needed on day and afternoon shifts
Hours per week: Contingent
This is a contingent position, candidates applying must be available days and afternoons, and have at least one year experience.
Requirements
- One year vascular technologist experience
- Graduate from an approved school of Vascular Technology and/or Ultrasound Technology.
- Registered or registry eligible in Vascular Technology by the ARDMS or CCI
- BLS or obtained within 6 months of hire
Preferred:
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
