OVERVIEW
ResMed has an exciting new opportunity for a Production Supervisor for our new distribution/manufacturing facility located in Spartenburg, SC.  The Production Supervisor will provide leadership (people management, business systems and equipment, production planning, operational performance reporting and analysis, quality assurance and safety) direction and advice to ensure achievement of business objectives and production targets in a high-volume production environment.   The Production Supervisor will contribute to the development of a workplace culture that reflects ResMed’s organizational values, standards, core competencies and behaviours and ensure optimal performance and compliance of manufacturing functions.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ensure effective management, utilization and deployment of assets, resources, production schedules, systems and processes to ensure achievement of production and operational targets consistent with quality and cost expectations.
  • Provide up to date and responsive technical advice, guidance and leadership in planning, resolution of acute corrective or preventative actions or related issues to develop and support work teams by monitoring, evaluating and enhancing work systems and processes in order to ensure continuity of production.
  • Ensure compliance with quality systems, standard operating procedures, and current good manufacturing practices (GMP).
  • Identify and contribute to and supports business improvement initiatives, workplace efficiency and business performance strategies.

    PEOPLE MANAGEMENT AND SAFETY
  • Ensure proactive involvement in and accountability for and demonstrate commitment to workplace safety, incident management and understanding of appropriate legislation and Company policy.
  • Be consistent with ResMed’s organizational values, core competencies, standards and policy, effective management, coaching, mentoring, performance management, learning and employee development.
  • Ensures the development and implementation of appropriate resource strategies to ensure that the work groups have the necessary capability to meet operational targets.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication mechanisms within the workplace that will enhance relationships and productivity within work teams, and supports the achievement of a preferred workplace culture.

    PERFORMANCE REPORTING AND MANAGEMENT
  • Utilize and interrogate business information systems to ensure effective management, analysis and reporting of operational and financial performance relative to specified targets and budgets.
  • Work with the management team to determine the priorities that ensure sustainable growth for the business, then ensure all existing and planned actions, are consistent with those priorities.
  • Ensure that each work team understands, records, and monitors performance against provided key business performance indicators.
Requirements EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Associates degree and 7+ years experience in a manufacturing/production environment with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.  Experience with leading special assignments and/or special projects.  Medical Device manufacturing experience is a plus

  • Familiar with Oracle database software
