The Department of Kinesiology and Nutrition at the University of Illinois at Chicago invites applications for three non-tenure-track Clinical Assistant Professor faculty positions. Position one requires a doctoral degree in exercise physiology with emphasis on endurance exercise performance.  Responsibilities include teaching three classes in advanced fitness assessment, advanced exercise physiology, and statistical methods in kinesiology and nutrition. This position also requires experience in graduate student advising on projects related to exercise and performance, as well as experience in creating and delivering blended/hybrid courses. The second position requires a doctoral degree in exercise psychology or a related field and national certifications in health and/or fitness. In addition, it requires managerial experience in the health, fitness, and wellness industry as well as experience in the placing and monitoring of interns in the fitness industry.  Responsibilities include teaching three classes per semester in the areas of fitness assessment, instructional techniques in fitness, exercise psychology, and business principles to the fitness industry and placing and monitoring students in internships within the fitness industry.  The third position requires a master’s degree in exercise science and certification as a Registered Dietician. Responsibilities include teaching two classes per semester in basic nutrition and nutrition and physical activity. This position also requires experience in placing and monitoring nutrition students in clinical sites as part of a coordinated program in human nutrition and assisting in directing a didactic program in dietetics.
