Telvent Outsourcing is the corporate Information Technology provider for all business groups in Abengoa.  Abengoa Solar is an international leader in solar power plants, creating solar power for a sustainable world.     We currently have an opening in the Lakewood office of Abengoa Solar for an IT Support Technician.

JOB DESCRIPTION 

As a member of the Telvent Outsourcing corporate IT team the IT Support Technician provides customer-focused technical support services for the local IT infrastructure in Lakewood.  In addition, the IT Support Technician will occasionally travel to the branch offices in California and Phoenix to assist users in these locations.

Specific duties include:

Provide

• desktop support in areas such as hardware and software support and troubleshooting, hardware upgrades, software upgrades, and local network connectivity

• PC builds & new equipment deployment

• Perform tape backups & data restore

• Provide support for printers, Blackberry, and other peripherals

• Coordinate warranty repairs with vendors

• Inventory management

• Ensure consistent and effective delivery of services while maintaining compliance with corporate policies

• Continually strive to maintain and improve the client relationship with Abengoa Solar

• A Degree in Computer Science or Technology Diploma with 1+ years related experience

  • Industry certifications (A+, N+, MCP, MCSE) would be an asset
  • Experience with: 

+  Windows XP Professional, Windows 2000/2003 Server
+  Desktop and laptop hardware support & troubleshooting

+  Printer support and maintenance

+  Lotus Notes

+  Blackberry support

• Strong organization and time management skills

• Highly developed problem solving abilities

• Effective written and oral communication skills

• Promotes quality, integrity, reliability and teamwork

• Spanish language would be an asset
