Product Application Engineer needed to be key liaison between final users of very large surface mining equipment and the product development organization of this company. Help drive the next generation of equipment for the Mining Industry customer base.
Utilize your in the field Mining Equipment knowledge base to drive the strategic vision for the next generation of surface mining products.
Roles and Responsibilities:
+ Utilize your surface mining practices and equipment expertise to drive the Pre-Sales process. Determination of machine productivity, mine planning, and other technical requests for customers.
+ Lead mine planning application studies: theoretical production estimates, operating costs, etc. for incorporation into quotations for customers
+ Propose new equipment to suit a specific application
+ Support Engineering and Product Management with the development of life cycle cost analyses.
+ Drive next generation product based upon input from customer base
Requirements
Education:
+ BS Mining Engineering
Experience:
+ Consistent career growth as a result of past achievements
+ > 10 years in a Mining environment with direct customer interface/ sales/ project experience
Language Skills:
+ English
Other:
+ International Travel will be required
