Axcess Financial is currently searching for a Sr Web Engineer. Successful candidate designs, modifies, develops, writes, tests, and implements web software applications. Must be experienced in developing a broad array of web functionality using lightweight web-centric technologies. Must have expert level familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within web software development. Relies on education, experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The position works under little supervision with a high degree of creativity and decision-making latitude.
Duties & Responsibilities: Time Development of new applications
o Creates technical designs, selects best approach (custom versus off-the-shelf components), develops functionality using best practices QA testing and documentation methodologies
o Creates and reviews deployment scripts and procedures for new applications
o Provides guidance to cross-functional/organizational team members
Application maintenance
o Designs and implements enhancements to existing applications based on provided specifications
o Configuration changes on existing applications
o Creation of deployment documents and procedure
Documentation
o Documents and revises coding standards and policies
o Creates best practices for other team members to follow and use
o Documents code at a level that provides a standard for other Engineers
Testing
o Provides guidance in creation of testing for applications in terms of edge cases, risk areas, and coverage
o Unit testing of own work and reviewing unit testing of other developers
o Monitoring of integration testing
Support
o Troubleshoot and resolve complicated application issues
o Communicate the status of issues
