Software Engineer - DoD Secret Clearance Required

• Harris RF Communications Division in Columbia Maryland is seeking a highly motivated, team orientated software engineer to join a dynamic, growing, high technology engineering organization that designs leading edge embedded communications and cryptographic products.
• This position will develop network communications software that executes on an embedded real time operating system (RTOS).

Qualifications:

• Active DoD Secret or above Clearance required.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
• Candidates are required to have a minimum Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience
• The candidate should have 2+ years experience with TCP/IP network protocols, routing and writing network communications software in C or C++.
• 2+ years experience developing and testing of software for applications developed in C or C++

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience developing software on an embedded microprocessor using an RTOS
• Experience designing & developing software for TCP/IP based IPv4 and IPv6 network devices
• Experience/knowledge of Capability Maturity Model (CMM)/Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) systems and software development process or other defined SW development 
• Experience with OOA/OOD software development methodology
• Experience in full development lifecycle for software projects
• Experience implementing software against various network RFPs
• Experience with IPSec or other Network Security standards
