Description Starmount Life Insurance Company offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced underwriter with proven management experience. This position will be responsible for a staff of two underwriters and report directly to the CEO. Senior Underwriter will be responsible for advising and giving recommendations to CEO on all underwriting matters, department managerial duties, training, individual caseload, and second signature authority from underwriting staff. Competitive salary and benefits package. Position located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Requirements

Requires 5 yrs senior life insurance underwriting experience; current approval limit $500,000+ - Standard through Table 16, strong human relations and communication skills; FLMI/FALU preferred; strong knowledge of MIB, privacy laws and insurance compliance regulations affecting underwriting.
