Description Very successful asset management firm has a great opportunity for a Civil Engineer/Project Manager. Candidates must have at least a bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with 6 years of progressive experience and registered as a PE or be able to receive registration through reciprocity with in 6 months.

The Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of maintenance and repair on bridge and roadway assets within the project limits. Primary responsibilities will include coordinating and managing engineers, contractors, administration and field personnel. The position will require strong communication skills and extensive client interaction.

The manger is responsible for development and management of a multi million dollar annual operations budget while meeting performance based contract requirements.
Requirements
  • Bridge maintenance or bridge construction and design experience.
  • Road maintenance or road construction and design experience.
  • Ability to manage crews and personnel issue, including hiring, disciplinary actions, evaluations and training
  • Ability to clearly communicate with client, public, media, engineers and subcontractors verbally and in writing
  • Perform bridge inspection and condition assessments
  • Ability to create technical reports
  • Coordinate bridge and roadway repairs with crews and subcontractors
  • Ability to review plans, contracts, bid documents and technical reports
  • Familiarity with field operations pertaining to road maintenance and construction
  • Ability to review standards and specify equipment and materials for maintenance and construction work
