Description
Audit Managers have a thorough knowledge of the Firm’s policies and procedures and serve as intermediaries between partners, clients and staff accountants. They exhibit technical proficiency and the ability to supervise and complete engagements.
Responsibilities:
1) Advises, directs, and oversees the financial activities of the Client accounts, pertaining to Audit and Review matters.
2) Reviews and prepares Audit reports and Audit planning documents.
3) Provides technical advice to other staff and team members regarding Audit issues.
4) Trains and mentors staff in technical and procedural areas, recommends and arranges in-house and outside continuing education, as needed.
5) Coordinates and reviews team workloads and assignments for the Audit department, including monitoring overtime and non-chargeable time.
6) Ensures that deadlines are met and monitors job control assignments.
7) Institutes and maintains other planning and control procedures.
8) Assists on special assignments and projects with Partners as needed.
9) Evaluates the performance of team members and personnel working under manager’s supervision, including recommendations for advancement or removal from the team or hiring additional personnel.
10) Act as liaison for Audit information and engagement requests and questions for clients served by both divisions.
11) Maintains direct client contact in conjunction with staff and partners.
12) Assume responsibility for research and planning projects.
13) Identify opportunities for the Firm to provide additional services to existing clients within the independence rules.
Requirements
Education/Experience:
1. Degree in Accounting and CPA
2. Knowledge of database, internet, and accounting and/or computer application systems to provide the most accurate financial information.
Desirable Qualifications:
Computer literacy is a must. Proficiency in Accounting, Research, Internet, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and other financial and accounting software packages is necessary. Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
