Description
JOB SUMMARY:  The Senior Manager of Business Development will follow up on leads that come to ACN for new business opportunities. This person will make recommendations to the company leaders on which opportunities are the best fit for ACN and fit with our overall growth strategy.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Responsible to research new business opportunities referred to ACN
  • Will conduct competitive analysis for these opportunities
  • Identify and develop strategic relationships with partners or potential business customers
  • Lead development of new business opportunities that support the overall growth strategy
  • Develop business cases and make recommendations to Executives 
  • Responsible for reviewing and analyzing the results of past campaigns and developing new initiatives and partnerships
     
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Will occasionally be asked to follow up on commercial sales leads received by independent reps or other sources
  • Should proactively seek out new business opportunities and close on leads
  • Works with marketing, sales, and product development teams to implement business development initiatives
  • May perform other duties as required
 
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILIITIES REQUIRED
  • Must be able to manage time, work under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines
  • Must be goal-oriented and accountable
  • Must have ability to work as part of a team
  • Must be able to be self-directed as needed
  • Must be able to interact with various departments and levels of positions, including top executives
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Excel skills- experience with building business models a plus
  • Working knowledge PC operating systems and hardware  
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • The employee is regularly required to talk and hear
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
 
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelors Degree in related field
  • 5+ years experience in Business Development
  • 2+ years experience in B2B sales environment preferred
  • Telecom experience preferred
