Description Exciting long term government contract available for talented DBA/Developer in Baltimore Maryland.  Qualified candidate will have 5+ years of Software Development, SQL Server Data Administration and  has expertise in web based applications.  This diversified  opportunity will offer the ability to interact on many levels including developing source code, administration of SQL Server Database, and building and deploying websites.    Experience with Administration and Configuration of SQL Server as well as development with ASP.Net, VB.Net, AJAX, CSS, and JavaScript necessary.  Familiarity with State or local government application is highly desired.  This position  is a 1-3 year contract.  Excellent rate and opportunity  to work with a terrific group of highly trained  professionals.
Requirements

 

Maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges).

Maintain security of the application  using .NET Security Application block and integrated with aspx pages and custom tables

SQL Server Database tuning, enhancing, administration and performance monitoring

Maintain Database Design using Visio

Writing SQL statements and Stored Procedures

Maintain documentation and standards

Maintain Visual Source safe with Visual Studio 2005 and Administer Visual Source Safe for the project

Maintain Change Control Log Document and Implement Change Requests

Maintain, and test backup & recovery strategies

Configure and maintain SQL Server 2005 database mirroring in High Availability operation Mode using certificates

Create, Monitor and troubleshoot  SQL server Jobs

Move, rebuild, or change production database objects 

Administer Development, QA and Production Windows 2003 servers

Build and deploy website to Development, QA and Production Windows 2003 servers

Administration and Configuration of SQL Server Reporting Services

Maintain Presentation Layer using ASP.NET, .NET2.0 web user controls, VB.NET, AJAX,CSS, JavaScript

Maintain Business Logic Layer using  .NET framework components and application blocks

Maintain Data Access Layer using ADO.NET, Table Adapters and XSD

Maintain aspx pages  to access reports and the Ability to Print multiple reports deployed in SQL Server Reporting Services

Maintain Asynchronous Logging framework using VB.Net

 Follow SDLC and CMMI standards and procedures

Create and Maintain Project Schedule in MS Project
