Description

Poly-America, L.P., is a leading manufacturer and recycler of plastic, producing several product lines, all within the polyethylene family. The group of companies produces polyethylene construction film, high quality trash bags, and geomembrane liners. Poly-America is currently seeking a Chemical Engineer. A successful candidate must be able to adjust to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks in a fast pace production environment.

 

 

Typical duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Conducting product development trials
  • Resolving Quality Control issues and  production problems
  • Reviewing, recording, and compiling Quality Control data 
  • Developing spreadsheets for analysis and generating reports
  • Assisting Sales Staff by answering questions related to product performance
Requirements
  • BS in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Materials Sciences
  • 4+ years experience in plastic films development or in olefin polymers
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency with MS Excel
  • Familiarity with film testing is a plus.
