Description
  • Responsible for directing the outpatient test scheduling, pre-registration, registration and financial specialist processes including cashier functions. 
  • Ensures that all staff  practice excellent customer service while supporting mission and core values. 
  • Responsible for all registration collections, data gathering and account maintenance for Patient Access. 
  • Responsible for team building, goal setting, assisting managers and supervisors with staff coaching and training. 
  • Responsible for developing, training, monitoring and reporting of registration quality and productivity. 
  • Responsible for budgets, overseeing hiring and firing practices of Patient Access management staff. 
  • Carries out all responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s core values, applicable policies, procedures, and civil laws, the Corporate Responsibility Program, and adhering to the teachings of the Catholic Church
  • Will direct a staff of 90+ employees.
Requirements

Excellent written and oral communication skills. Presentation skills. Strong problem solving, decision making, and budgeting skills. Knowledge of word processing and spread sheet softwares.  Ability to coach staff to achieve necessary level of performance.  Excellent people skills exhibiting fair, firm expectations while maintaining staff respect.

Has the skills and knowledge (may be gained through education, training and/or experience) necessary to provide patient care as defined by job responsibilities and performance standards in this job description (job specs & performance plan) for the following age specific groups: 


5+ years of experience in supervision, health care registration/HMO/Insurance, Customer Service.            

A related college degree is preferred but not required.
