Cardiac Surgery Research Lab Project Coordinator

Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics, located in Kansas City, MO currently has a unique full-time opportunity available for a Cardiac Surgery Lab Project Coordinator. Job responsibilities include:

Collecting information and communicate essential material/literature in the areas of cardiac surgery research and bioengineering sciences in order to identify novel research opportunities
Assist in organizing and assembling data for:
- Research publications
- Grant applications
- Proposal development
- Scientific manuscripts
- Progress reports
- Draft preparation
- Meeting minutes
Collaborate with lab supervisors, bioinformatics, and investigators on:
- Research timelines
- Data management
- Laboratory standard operating procedures
- Regulatory documentation (GLP)

Requirements

Master's Degree
- Degree in Public Health with interests in Biostatistics, clinical and translational research and grant writing would be ideal
1 year experience
- Project experience in a Research Laboratory. Bioengineering, tissue engineering, molecular biology, Biostatistics, technical/scientific writing experience. Specific, relevant graduate level coursework would qualify as related work experience
