IT Manager - Systems
The IT Manager’s role is to manage and ensure the efficient operation of the company’s information technology infrastructure. This includes managing the IT staff responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, monitoring and supporting the information technology infrastructure. This role will also work closely with the IT leadership staff, and decision makers in other departments, in order to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective infrastructure technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Four year degree from a college or university in the field of computer science, information systems, or business and 10+ years related technology work experience required
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development
- Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
- Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Certifications in server computing technologies, such as Microsoft, RedHat, or VMWare
- Strong technical knowledge of server hardware and operating systems, as well as desktop technologies such as Citrix, Terminal Services, Desktops, and Laptops
- Strong technical knowledge of current hardware, protocols, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
- Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures
- Strong understanding of project management principles
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products as required
- Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
- Ability to perform general mathematical calculations for the purpose of creating business cases, and budgets
- Highly self-motivated and directed. Keen attention to detail
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Exceptional customer service orientation
